The anterior longitudinal ligament, with remnants of the intervertebral discs attached, has also been retained in part. The lungs have been inflated and are visible through the intact costal pleura.”

As it is a muscle, the heart grows if it has an increased workload. The pacemaker has leads to supply regular electrical impulses to the heart so that it beats normally.

Neonatal Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS) - occurs in infants whose lungs have not yet fully developed.
The disease is mainly caused by a lack of a slippery, protective substance called surfactant, which helps the lungs inflate with air and keeps the air sacs from collapsing

These fractal systems act to protect against injury - and are the key characteristic to the circulatory system - holding the entire structure together despite the strength of pumping. They are the basis for the structure of the lungs. Fractals allow us to live.
