The Blogger

Important Notes
WARNING: This blog contains graphic images including that of the Medical, Anatomical, Scientific, Forensic (and whatever else sparks my interest) nature. Every single post is tagged and anything that could potentially be triggering is marked BUT if you do not have saviour on you might want to proceede with caution.
Plus I swear a fuckton.
This isn't a themed blog - more a personal blog mixed with science of all sorts and most anything that catches my interest on any given day.

The anterior longitudinal ligament, with remnants of the intervertebral discs attached, has also been retained in part. The lungs have been inflated and are visible through the intact costal pleura.”

“Tendons are strong, tough bands of inelastic fibrous connective tissue that connects muscle to bone. They are the body’s highest strength connective tissue. Tendons consist of elongated cells, minimal ground substance and collagen fibers. The collagen fibers are packed closely together, parallel to the direction of force.”
“Heart Strings”
Better known as “tendinous cords”, located in the ventricles. These strands of collagen and elastin connect the papillary muscle and atrio-ventrical valves, preventing prolapse into the atria during ventricular constriction and allow the blood to flow into these areas.
