The external layer of the jawbone (mandible) has been removed to display the nerves and blood vessels running within the bone to supply to the lower teeth and the chin region.
Full Knee Replacement Surgery -this procedure removes damaged portions of the bone, inplanting a replacement which attaches both femur and tibia, as well as makes up for the damaged kneecap. It restores them with artificial implants, made of plastic and metal, allow for the limb to move smoothly and without complications.

This new diagnostic imaging procedure which allows the inside of organs and blood vessels to be viewed - mostly used to find blockages and clotting. An Angioma is shown here - a benign tumour near the surface of the skin.

Tendons consist of elongated cells, minimal ground substance and collagen fibers. The collagen fibers are packed closely together, parallel to the direction of force.”
“Heart Strings”
Better known as “tendinous cords”, located in the ventricles. These strands of collagen and elastin connect the papillary muscle and atrio-ventrical valves, preventing prolapse into the atria during ventricular constriction and allow the blood to flow into these areas.

Partial leg amputation just above the knee. Patient injured his leg in combat.
An Achilles Tendon rupture
A four-five inch incision is made just above the heel. The tendon is then frayed and the ends are stitched together, tying the fibers in a retracted position.
